CHIEF ENGINEER Entry Qualification Requirement
A. Holder of Certificate of Competency as Chief Marine Engineer issued by Marina
B. Holder of certificates for minimum standards of training for Management Level
Officers under the STCW95 regulations and of related statutory certificates;
C. Good knowledge in administration and implementation of planned maintenance System;
D. Good knowledge on various ship’s trading certificates and survey concerning his department related to
vessel’s classifications.
E. Proficient in oral and written communication;
F. With Good moral character;
G. With at least two years and six months (2 1/12) experience as 1st Engineer
onboard ocean-going vessels.
H. With one (1) recommendation for promotion.
